Native Plant Society of Texas - Houston Chapter (NPSOT-H) presents the
10th Wildscapes Workshop & Plant Sale
Landscaping with Native Plants to Attract Wildlife
Saturday, September 8, 2007
9:00 am - 3:00 pm
At the University of Houston - Central Campus,
Cullen College of Engineering, Building 1
Native Plant sale @ 11 am-3:00 pm for attendees and
12:30 pm - 3:00 pm for general public
Speakers for this year's Wildscapes workshop are Dee Howell,
Opening Remarks, Kathy Adams Clark on "Garden
Photography Made Simple", Diane Cabiness, native plant
grower, on "Great Plants for a Wildscapes Landscape", Gloria and
John Tveten, authors of several area nature guides, on
"Butterflies as Botanists", and Brenda Pennington, professional
landscaper, on "Landscaping with Native Plants".
Available at the plant sale are many
hard-to-find native plants. The Plant sale is open to the
general public without fees during the reduced hours listed. Other
activities include door prizes, booths, exhibits, book sale, and
raffle. Come learn about our native prairie grasses from artist and
photographer Carolyn Fannon's mounted dried grass
displays, photos, and handouts. Lunch and refreshments are provided!
Fee: $30 ($25 for NPSOT members). Lunch and refreshments provided.
Preregistration is required; deadline September 1, 2007.
