Naturally Curious eNotes
January 29, 2008
Our FREE SHIPPING on orders over $25.00 continues!

We have created a Google Group account for our eNotes, and invite you to migrate there.  Along with making it easier for us to send out our enotes, it will eventually allow us to do more targeted notes, so you can get notes on what interests you most.  We'll be the only ones sending out messages, so you still won't average more than one message a month.  To switch, just enter your email in the Google box below, then follow the simple activation link.  If you'll reply to this message with Switched, I'll know that you've done it and take you off of this aol.com list.  We'll continue to send these eNotes from aol.com, too.

Our new online store Naturally Curious Direct.
We are adding pages and items regularly now, but are still working on the details.  We have over 100 items available there, so we are catching up to our original Specialty Store.  You'll be able to register, so you won't have to re-enter your shipping and billing information every time you order.  We'll be able to organize it better, too.  If you want items from both stores, just place the order in the new store, and use the 'ordering instructions' box to let us know what else you would like to add to your order.  See the Store.

Our new homepage.  If you are visiting or traveling Texas this summer, or building your naturalist library go to Exploring Texas.  Looking for some summer study or science projects, see our nature-based science project ideas.

Our newest Partner Store  Quinta Mazatlan, McAllen's wing of the World Birding Center  (Link to their website)  A 1930’s country estate in the heart of McAllen, Quinta Mazatlan is an historic Spanish Revival adobe hacienda surrounded by lush tropical landscaping and native woodland. A unique conference and events center, close to airports and hotels, Quinta Mazatlan is also an urban oasis, where quiet trails wind through more than 15 acres of birding habitat, enhanced with water and feeders.  With the tropical gardens and remnant Tamaulipan thorn forest, Quinta Mazatlan is both restive and a productive birding spot to see Valley specialties.

Events:  It's a quiet summer so far!  Check our Events page to see what we've scheduled, or plan future nature festival trips.

And a personal note:  I'd like to extend my appreciation to all of you who sent cards, emails and called after my accident in March.  Although I truly count myself as lucky to have walked away from a roll-over accident that totaled one of our vans, it was very comforting to hear from so many people!  Thank you all.  Sandy
