Expand from State or Regional Thayer software to see all 970
species

Upgrade your Birds of My Region or Our Birds - Texas (or
your state!) to the complete Birds of North America software. You MUST
have one of these, or a family version (Owls, Ducks, etc) already installed
in your computer for this to work!
If you want to expand to the Vista version 3.9, please
email us or check our
Affiliate Nature Shop at Thayer for cost and availability.

Birds of My Region lets you
choose which subset of Birds of North America you want to run on your
computer. You can register any state or region. We recommend
that birders in Florida, California and Texas go with the $29.95 state
program (they are not included in any of the regions). Birders from smaller
states have the option of loading a region, Birds of the Northwest, Southeast etc;
or any state/province. This is a 'subset' of Guide to Birds of
North America, and can be upgraded to the full Birds of North America.
List: $49.95

From the Thayer Birding Software
newsletter:
Attention
Vista Users
version 3.9
is Vista Compatible
Microsoft's
new Vista operating system is not compatible with most software created before
January, 2007. As a result of these extreme changes, we (Thayer Birding
Software) have had to rewrite our
birding software from the ground up. Thayer Birding Software's v3.9 is
Vista compatible.
New - Download photos
to iPod
New
features in v3.9 include the ability to download songs and images to an iPod/MP3
player. State checklists have been updated. You can now open multiple field
guide pages for easy comparison. You can quickly navigate to the next or
previous species to view similar birds. Additional birds have been added to many
state and province CDs. See the help section for instructions on how to
load the files into an MP3 player, using iTunes.
